Yalta

LEARNING RUSSIAN. On principle there are individual lessons. The first day you take a walk downtown to get your first impression of Yalta (shops, exchange, beach, disco, restaurants, gyms, various attractions, Internet cafes). The lessons are structured corresponding to the wishes and capabilities of the pupils. Those who know the language pretty well can choose for example a book, to read it with the teacher, to discuss the text and the writer, to study grammatical peculiarities. You can also come to Yalta with a friend, to learn Russian together with him. Perhaps we could find for you a suitable partner for the lessons. Till now we had only German pupils (of all ages).

YALTA is situated on the south end of Crimea. The climate is subtropical. Two thirds of the about 100.000 inhabitants are Russians, there are many Ukrainians, less Tartars and other nationalities.Attractions: Livadia Palace (Conference of Yalta, 1945), Organ Hall Livadia (a real delight for all lovers of the organ and of classic music), Massandra Palace (here holidayed Czar's princes, later Stalin and his successors), Chekhov's Home (built according to a writer's project), Aleksandr Nevskij Cathedral, Armenian Church, Botanical Gardens (on a gentle slope towards the sea, more than 18,000 plants from all over the world). Nearby there soars the mountain Aj-Petri (1233 m), with a cableway from the sea up to the top.
